This year we added a couple of Rankin-Bass classic specials to our collection: The Easter Bunny Is Comin' To Town and The First Easter Rabbit. We also added a modern tale that we discovered at Christmas that also works at Easter: Rise Of The Guardians.

Growing up we always had ham for Easter, turkey for Thanksgiving, and both for Christmas. I don't feel guilty eating turkey, but ham is so decadent and delicious! Easter is remembering Him that frees us from our guilt.

My husband and I had a little laugh at serving "funeral" potatoes at Easter. They are a Mormon favorite, but if you eat them too often they might be served at your funeral!

So I know Easter was in March this year, but in the 38 Easters I've been alive it has only been in March 9 times. The other 29 times it was in April. I wish it always could be in April. Let's make it official the 3rd Sunday of every April from now on, ha ha!
